Come learn how your body and your garden can benefit from the wonders of seaweed!
Just in time for the big low tides and the harvest season!

Date: Tuesday May 22nd
Time: 7-9pm
Cost $8
Instructor: Heidi Herrmann

We will cover the history, identification, uses, and sustainable
collection of coastal seaweeds! Nori, bladderwrack, kombu, and wakame
are some of the sea vegetables that we’ll learn more about. The
Sonoma coast is incredibly rich in seaweeds that can be used as food,
medicine and fertilizer. After the lecture and slideshow we will
sample several dishes prepared with locally harvested seaweed. Seaweed
packets will also be available for sale.

Heidi Herrmann is a Sustainable Agriculture Instructor at SRJC, an

    Hi Robin (and everyone else)

This is going to be a popular class.
So we’re already talking about a 2nd date to accommodate everyone’s schedules.

So, if you’re interested, but can’t make this date – email us directly to let us know. That will help us plan for the next one.

    Thanks Robin!
